Georgia Work Ready



The assessment is conducted utilizing a computer. Participants should be familiar with and comfortable working on a computer. The assessment contains three (3) sections: Applied Mathematics, Reading for Information and Locating Information. Each section contains up to 33/38 questions, to be completed in 55 minutes. Pencils, scratch paper, and calculator will be provided.

Immediately upon completion of all sections, you will be provided a print-out of your assessment scores. You will also receive an official certificate by mail in approximately 2-3 weeks.

Work Ready Certificates are awarded based on the lowest level earned in any of the three core assessment areas, though individual scores in one or more sections may be higher.


  • Bronze indicates a minimum score of three in all three core areas.

  • Silver indicates a minimum score of four in all three areas.

  • Gold indicates a minimum score of five in all three areas.

  • Platinum, offered only in the state of Georgia, indicates a minimum score of six in all three core areas.


    • IMPORTANT NOTICE - EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY 1, 2012

    The Work Ready Assessments will be offered only to unemployed individuals or individuals looking to apply for a job listed on workreadyconnect.org. Individuals must be able to prove unemployment status OR provide the Job Code listed on Work Ready Connect Website. Jobs that are not listed will not qualify an individual to participate in the Georgia Work Ready Program.

    VERIFICATION OF UNEMPLOYMENT

    • Verification of Unemployment Benefits from the Department of Labor within the last year;
    • Verification of Official Notice of TANF Benefits within the last year;
    • Separation Letter from previous employer dated within the last 12 months;

    OR

  • Work Ready Connect Job Code

    • ASSESSMENT FEES

    An Individual who is employed, need to retest, or applying for a job not listed on the Work Ready Connect Website will be charged the following:

    • $15 - one assessment
    • $25 - two assessments
    • $35 - three assessments
