Dear Community Member,

Cheryl Stelk, Linda Churchwell, and

Governor Sonny Perdue, Dr. Ivan H. Allen, and Sam A Way, III along with members of the Hawkinsville community cut the ribbon on the new Hawkinsville Workforce Development Center.

Middle Georgia Technical College invites you to participate in our 2008 Giving Campaign, “Reaching for the Future”. Our college is focused on providing excellence in academic and technical education. One of the primary goals of the MGTC Foundation is to support our college in improving the quality of life in our community.

Though MGTC is government funded, there are many constraints and restrictions that apply to those funds. Through private funding, we are able to help our students with additional scholarships, stay current with ever changing technology, provide for continuous development and improvement of our faculty and staff, and expand and enhance the programs we are able to offer to our students.

Our students currently receive top recognition in state and national competitions. With your help Middle Georgia Technical College is able to continue to be one of the top technical colleges in the state and the nation. The financial support you provide will help the college, our students, and, in turn, the region as a whole.

The Middle Georgia Technical Foundation is a 501(C)(3) non-profit charitable organization. All gifts are tax deductible to the extent provided by the IRS code. We appreciate your partnership and look forward to working together as we reach for the future of our community.

Sincerely,

Jim McClarnon

Annual Golf Tournament

On March 24th, a chilly Spring day, the MGTC Foundation kicked off the 3rd Annual Golf Tournament at Houston Lake Country Club in Perry. Even with the nip in the air the Tournament was a huge success, raising over $36,000. The proceeds from the tournament will go toward scholarships for MGTC students and other necessary college projects not funded by the state. The Foundation wishes to thank all of the tournament sponsors and participants for their continued support and we look forward to seeing you again next year! Read More
