Tuition and Fees
Fees at Middle Georgia Technical College are identified below. Beyond the fees that are payable to the college, you can expect other expenses in the form of required textbooks, tools, personal supplies and other incidental costs. These costs vary by program. Tuition fees are based on the number of credit hours for which the student is registered, as well as the student’s individual residency status. Fees are not covered by HOPE.
Application Fee
Students applying for admission to any credit course must pay an application fee of $15. The fee is a non-refundable one-time charge not applicable toward tuition.
Registration Fee
Each semester a student registers in any credit course, a registration fee of $39 must be paid. This is a non-refundable charge and does not apply toward tuition fees.
Student Activity Fee
The student activity fee is $40 per semester for student activities and graduation fees.
Insurance Fee
All students are required to purchase accident insurance at registration. The cost of the coverage is $6 per semester.
Instructional And Technology Support Fee
The instructional and technology support fee is $55 per semester regardless of the number of hours a student is enrolled. Funds are used for instructional resources.
Graduation Application Fee
A $35 graduation application fee is due at the time students submit their graduation application packet for diploma or associate of applied science degree programs.
Degree/Diploma/Certificate Replacement/Reprint Fee
Students who complete a degree, diploma, or technical certificate of credit program are provided a certificate indicating their completion free of charge. There is a $25 fee for replacement or reprint of these documents.
MGTC Student ID Card Replacement Fee
MGTC students are required to carry an MGTC Student Identification Card with them at all times while on MGTC campuses. These ID cards are initially provided free of charge upon acceptance to the college. There is a $5 replacement fee for creation of a replacement ID card.
Late Fee
A $45 late fee will be accessed for tuition and fees not paid by the first day of each quarter.

Senior Citizens Tuition Waiver
Residents of Georgia who are 62 years of age or older may request a waiver of tuition fees. It does not apply to continuing education courses, noncredit courses, or seminars. Senior citizens are required to pay all fees other than tuition.
Out-of-State and International Students
Policies for setting tuition and student fees are in accordance with those set forth in the Technical College System of Georgia Policy Manual. Out-of-State residents pay tuition at two times the in-state rate. Foreign students pay tuition at four times the in-state rate.
Refund Policy
It is the policy of Middle Georgia Technical College to refund 100% of the tuition and fees paid if the student formally withdraws from classes prior to the first day of class or within the published drop/add period. No refunds will be made after the published drop/add period. No refund will be made for textbooks or supplies.

Important Dates
NOTE: Financial Aid Applications should be completed by the U.S. Department of Education or the Georgia Student Finance Commission at least one week prior to registration.
