December 6:MGTC Foundation sponsors "The Ocmulgee Symphony Orchestra" Holiday concert
Start planning now to attend as the MGTC Foundation sponsors "The Ocmulgee Symphony Orchestra" Holiday concert this coming December 6th. On Saturday, December 6, 2008, the OSO will perform in the A Building auditorium. The Ocmulgee Symphony Orchestra has earned rave reviews in its inaugural year at the Hawkinsville Opera House. We are honored to have them perform a holiday concert on our campus. Check out their website for more information on the orchestra: www.ocmulgeesymphonyorchestra.com

We will be having special promotions on tickets for our students. Regular tickets will be $25 per person, and all profits will go towards MGTC Scholarships. Advance ticket purchases can be made through the MGTC Foundation. Contact Cheryl Stelk at 988-6800, ext. 7201.

November 5, 2008: New Traditions Meeting
Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at 11 AM in room A140. A unique “support group” experience open to those in our student body who would be considered “nontraditional” by meeting one or more of the following criteria: Single Parent, Displaced Homemaker, ESL (English as a Second Language)/LEP (Limited English Proficiency), Current or former TANF recipient, and/or student enrolled in a program which has traditionally attracted members of the opposite gender predominantly. November 5, 2008: Kappa Omega Chili and Soup Sale

The Red Cross is coming to the Student Pavilion on Monday from 10 until 8 – please plan on dropping by and giving. The American Red Cross is in need of blood and hopes to raise about 60 pints at this blood drive.

August 16: Alumni Association Bowling Event
The Alumni Association is planning an afternoon bowling outing on August 16, 2008 at 4PM at Gold Cup located at 1041 Russell Parkway, Warnre Robins, GA 31088. The fee/person is $11.50 and is due by August 8, 2008. Ann Wright, the Alumni Treasurer, has agreed to accept the entrance fees. She can be found in Admissions on the main campus. The fees will cover two hours of bowling, one-topping pizzas, soft drinks and shoes. The association needs to know in advance how many people will attend. That way, the proper amount of lanes can be reserved. See Flyer For More Details
