- Thursday, February 14th has been set aside as a day when MGTC student organization member's may provide special recognition of appreciation to their club advisor.
- February 16: MGTC Offers Saturday ASSET Placement Test
- 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Middle Georgia Technical College will offer the ASSET Placement Test Saturday, February 16 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Students should bring photo identification and their social security number and arrive for the test no later than 8:45 a.m. There is no cost to the student for testing.
By offering Saturday test sessions, high school students in Dooly, Houston, Peach, and Pulaski counties will have the opportunity to prepare for the Dual Enrollment Program/ACCEL for 2008-09. In addition, high school seniors interested in attending Middle Georgia Tech after graduation, have the opportunity to get a head start on admission requirements.
Testing will take place in the auditorium of Building A on the main campus at 80 Cohen Walker Drive in Warner Robins. Again, there is no cost to take the test.

- April 17: Performance Accountability Review (PAR) team will visit MGTC
- The team, comprised of a technical college president and key staff from other technical colleges, will conduct an on-site review to foster continuous improvement in the quality and effectiveness of MGTC's programs and services. A PAR review is conducted at each technical college approximately every three years. The review will include an assessment of several programs, the warranty claims and work ethics for all program groups, student services, especially admissions procedures, safety campus wide and the local application of federal funds. The team leader is Dr. Lloyd Horadan, President of Sandersville Technical College.

- The Red Cross is coming to the Student Pavilion on Thursday from 10 until 8 – please plan on dropping by and giving. The Red Cross has announced a 'critical need for blood'; according to their news release:
"While temperatures continue to rise this summer, the American Red Cross reports that the blood inventory levels are so low it is unable to sufficiently meet the demand of local hospitals. While there is a constant need for all blood types, donors with O positive, O negative, A negative and B negative blood types are asked to take an hour to donate right away."

- August 16: Alumni Association Bowling Event
- The Alumni Association is planning an afternoon bowling outing on August 16, 2008 at 4PM at Gold Cup located at 1041 Russell Parkway, Warnre Robins, GA 31088. The fee/person is $11.50 and is due by August 8, 2008. Ann Wright, the Alumni Treasurer, has agreed to accept the entrance fees. She can be found in Admissions on the main campus. The fees will cover two hours of bowling, one-topping pizzas, soft drinks and shoes. The association needs to know in advance how many people will attend.
