POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT: Medical Office/Billing/Coding Instructor
Employment Type: Adjunct
Job Description: Under minimal supervision, teaches classroom instruction for credit courses in the Medical Office/Billing/Coding program. Courses may be scheduled for day, evening, or online presentation. The instructor must possess the ability to teach all phases of the curriculum.

Minimum Degree Requirements: A diploma or certificate in medical coding or medical office procedures with courses that include medical coding from an accredited college/university.

Skills Required: Must possess a minimum of three years of documented experience as a medical coder. Certification by AHIMA as certified coding associate (CCA), certified coding specialist (CCS), a registered health information technician (RHIT), registered health information administrator (RHIA); or certification by AAPC as a certified professional coder (CPC) a plus. Must be computer literate.

Benefits Eligibility: This position is eligible for membership in Georgia Defined Contribution Program only.

Salary Information: Actual salary is based on the candidate’s highest qualifying degree and number of contact teaching hours. Range per hour is $15 to $20.
