MGTC Titans Take Second in TCSGAA Basketball Tournament

Middle Georgia Technical College Head Coach Bobby Brown and members of the Titans Basketball Team traveled to Chattanooga, Tennessee this past weekend to participate in the Technical College System of Georgia Athletic Association (TCSGAA) Men's Basketball Tournament. Each Cosmetology student worked on different clients and explained the process while performing the service. The results of the recent accreditation reaffirmation visit at Middle Georgia Technical College in Warner Robins yielded positive results for the College. At the culmination of the three-year reaffirmation process, the visiting committee from the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (COC/SACS), in an almost unheard announcement, stated that MGTC received no recommendations on either the Compliance Certification or the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP).Read More

The American Red Cross came to Middle Georgia Technical College's (MGTC) Warner Robins Campus Thursday, July 23 for the quarterly blood drive sponsored by the Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) student organization. MGTC students, faculty, and staff, as well as members of the local community participated in the blood drive. Middle Georgia Technical College in Warner Robbins Georgia has been granted accreditation of its Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) program by HVAC Excellence, the HVAC industry's credentialing agency. MGTC was originally granted a six-year accreditation in 2003 and was the first technical college HVAC program in the state of Georgia to achieve program accreditation.Read More

Officers for the organizations were selected through a secret-ballot vote. Results of the election will be announced Wednesday, June 3.

Cosmetology Instructor Tarrell Small's class moved their class outside early Thursday morning during a temporary power outage on campus. The power was out for a short time for unknown reasons along Cohen Walker Drive. Instead of delaying their styling class, the students decided to move operations outside. And, since the weather was so nice, the students continued their outdoor styling after the power came back on.Read More
