Middle Georgia Technical College Hosts Career Fair

Warner Robins - Middle Georgia Technical College in Warner Robins hosted its annual Career Fair Thursday, October 23. Over 300 jobseekers attended the event to talk with prospective employers.

"We had a great turnout for this year's event," said Patrick Ivey, director of Career Services for Middle Georgia Technical College. "We had a lot of local employers here looking for applicants. The students had a lot of positive response and we are glad to provide this opportunity for MGTC students to meet with local employers."

Some of the employers at the event included Graphic Packaging, Dillard's, Timco Aviation, LSI, Houston Healthcare, Smart Style, Waffle House, Avon, and Arbonne International.

Students were able to visit and talk with the various employers and drop off resumes. Even with the current state of the economy, some businesses, such as salons, are actively recruiting because the economy has not negatively impacted their business.

Middle Georgia Technical College offers short term training and diploma and degree options to help students gain or improve workforce skills for new and changing careers. MGTC offers hands-on training in the fields of Aerospace, Industrial, Business, Information Technology, Allied Health, and Services.
