Craig Jackson Named Vice President for Student Affairs at Middle Georgia Technical College

Warner Robins - Dr. Ivan Allen, president of Middle Georgia Technical College, recently announced the promotion of Craig Jackson, formerly Director of Admissions, to Vice President for Student Affairs. He will fill the position left vacant by Jeff Scruggs, who was recently named Vice President for Technology and Institutional Support.

Jackson has served as Director of Admissions at MGTC since October 2005.During his three years in that position, he has been instrumental in having extended registration hours, improving customer service, implementing the online application process, and helping lead MGTC to its highest enrollment ever in Fall 2007.

"I am excited that Mr. Jackson will bring his ideas and energy to this important position of leadership in our organization," said Dr. Allen. "His wealth of experience will be very beneficial to Middle Georgia Tech."

Jackson received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Albany State University and an Executive Master of Business Administration from Wesleyan College. He currently serves on the board of After 5 Professional Networking Association and is a member of the Georgia Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers. He is the immediate past president of Lambda Phi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and currently serves on the Georgia State Fraternity Council.

Prior to his service at MGTC, he worked with Macon State College as a senior admissions representative and as a counselor at River Edge Behavioral Health Center in Macon.

"I believe it's the little things that make a big difference," said Jackson. "I am excited to be able to serve Middle Georgia Tech and to help the college continue to grow and prosper."
