MGTC Adult Education Program to Hold Spring Fest

Warner Robins - The Adult Education program at Middle Georgia Technical College in Warner Robins will host "Spring Fest" at the Galleria Mall in Centerville Saturday, April 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Adult Education instructors and staff members will be on hand to provide information about the GED program, the ESL (English as a Second Language) program, and the other programs offered through Adult Education including workplace, health, and family literacy.

"We want everyone to realize that it's never too late to finish what you have started," said Marcus Early, College Transition coordinator. "We will have information on how to obtain your GED and how to gain valuable skills that will help you succeed in the workforce. We will also offer students the opportunity to enroll in our Adult Education programs on the spot."

In a special effort to help students who have started but not yet completed the GED program, MGTC Adult Education Services are offering a special incentive. For any student who has only one section left to complete to earn a GED, MGTC will provide a scholarship to pay for the student to complete the final section of the GED Exam.

"We want to help students get moving toward their future," said Brenda Brown, vice president of Adult Education at MGTC. "We hope that by offering this incentive, students who have not yet completed the program will be compelled to do so and will begin on the path to a brighter future. This offer is good for students in our entire four county service area of Dooly, Houston, Peach, and Pulaski counties."

At the Spring Fest, orientation sessions and light refreshments will be available. For more information on any of the Adult Education services available or to get details about the GED one-section scholarship, please call 478.988.6851.
