MGTC Titans Post History-Making Win

Warner Robins - The Middle Georgia Technical College Titans men's basketball team posted a history-making win against the team from Ft. Benning Army Base near Columbus. The Titans were victorious by a score of 72-69 in the game played at Fort Valley State University's gym Thursday, November 20.

This is the first sports win in the history of the College. The Titans are coached by MGTC Industrial Systems Instructor Antonio Shelley.

MGTC introduced the men's and lady's basketball club sports teams this fall. In addition, the teams are supported by a cheerleading squad.

The Titans have played exhibition games against the MGTC Faculty and Staff and Fort Valley State University. The Lady Titans have also played matches against FVSU and Wesleyan.

Other teams on the schedule include West Central Technical College, Swainsboro Technical College, Moody Air Force Base, and others. MGTC home games will be played on the campus of Fort Valley State University. For a current schedule, log on to www.middlegatech.edu.
