MGTC Barbering Program Hosts Clients from Bleckley County MR Service Center

Warner Robins - Students in the Barbering program at Middle Georgia Technical College in Warner Robins once again hosted clients from the Bleckley County MR Service Center in Cochran. Men from the Service Center were able to receive haircuts, shaves, and other services from the students.

Barbering students are required to log a certain number of live work hours to complete the program. Clients are able to receive services at very reasonable prices in exchange for students gaining hands-on experience in their field of study.

Leon Towles, program chair for Barbering at MGTC, originally invited the consumers form the Bleckley County MR Service Center to take advantage of the services offered by the program. Now, they have become regular consumers of the services offered by the Barbering program.

The MGTC Barbering program began in 2006. Services are offered to students, staff, faculty, and members of the community at reduced rates. For more information on the Barbering program or to find out about services offered, call 478.988.6800, ext. 2050 or log on to www.middlegatech.edu. Summer Quarter classes will begin July 7, 2009.
