MGTC Winter Quarter Enrollment Jumps 30 Percent
Warner Robins-Enrollment at Middle Georgia Technical College in Warner Robins continues to grow at a record pace with 3,601 students currently attending Winter Quarter classes.
This total is a 30 percent jump over Winter Quarter 2009 year and an increase of more than 820 students in day, evening, and online credit courses. It is the College's largest single quarter enrollment and the fourth consecutive quarter with double-digit enrollment growth.
The slow economy continues to push the surge in enrollment as many new students seek to improve their job outlook due to unemployment or under-employment. The result is significantly higher enrollment numbers across every age group.
Annual tuition for a full load of courses at Middle Georgia Technical College averages $2,400 plus fees. More than 80 percent of MGTC students receive financial aid that significantly reduces that cost, mostly in HOPE and Pell grants that require no student debt after graduation.
MGTC offers over 100 associate degree, diploma, and certificate options that lead to in-demand jobs and careers. The College offers day, evening, and online courses, plus job placement assistance and financial aid. A wide range of student activities are also available on campus.
