Saudi Arabian Royal Air Force Visits Middle Georgia Technical College
Warner Robins - Members of the Saudi Arabian Royal Air Force paid a visit to Middle Georgia Technical College (MGTC) recently. The group came to the Warner Robins campus after visiting Robins Air Force Base (RAFB) to tour the College and find out more about the cooperative work programs that exist between MGTC and RAFB.
MGTC Acting President Jeff Scruggs, and other members of the senior leadership team, hosted the members of the Saudi RAF, as well as two tour guides from RAFB. Scruggs presented an informational slide show to the visitors and afterwards, the group was given a tour of the campus, focusing on programs that allow for cooperative work agreements with the base.
Jim Lane, dean for Academic Affairs, presented information on the Aviation Maintenance, Aircraft Structural Technology, Electronics, and Machine Tool Technology programs. The group was able to tour the lab area for each of the educational training programs and speak with students and program instructors.
After the tour, the visitors were able to have a question and answer session with the senior leadership team. Several members of the Saudi RAF indicated that they hope to implement successful cooperative educational training programs in Saudi Arabia that mirror the partnership between Robins and MGTC.
