MGTC Foundation Set to Host 6th Annual Golf Tournament
Warner Robins - The Middle Georgia Technical College Foundation is set to host their 6th annual Golf Tournament to support student scholarships at MGTC. The event will take place April 1st at Houston Lake Country Club in Perry.
Jeff Smith, owner of Jeff Smith Kia and other local dealerships, has once again agreed to serve as a corporate sponsor for the event. Jeff Smith Kia also served as the corporate sponsor in 2010, donating a new Kia Soul to the MGTC Foundation.
The tournament will begin with lunch at 11 am, followed by a shotgun scramble at noon. Hole sponsorships, including a four-person team, are available for $1,000. Corporate sponsorships, which include entry for two teams, are $5,000. All sponsorships include entry fees, lunch, and golf shirts for the team.
Over $4,000 in prizes will be awarded at the tournament, including prizes for long drives and closest to the pin. Additionally, special prizes will be available for a hole-in-one and a 50/50 raffle will be available.
The MGTC Foundation's Golf Tournament is one of three annual events responsible for raising funds to provide students with scholarships. The Foundation also hosts the Hooterville Hoedown Reverse Raffle and the Race for Education 5k/10k, benefitting adult education projects.
