Radiology Technology Graduates Pinned at Middle Georgia Technical College
Graduating students in the Radiology Technology program at Middle Georgia Technical College in Warner Robins were pinned at the recent Spring Quarter Awards Day ceremony held in the auditorium on campus. The pin signifies that the student has completed all coursework and clinical requirements for the Radiology Technology program and is eligible to sit for the certification exam given by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) to become registered technologists.
Students who were pinned at the ceremony include Denette Arnold of Bonaire; Tami Blackley of Bonaire; Anna Collins of Roberta; Mark Craddock, Jr. of Warner Robins; Michael Dominick of Warner Robins; Kimberly Hayes of Fort Valley; Kathryn Mitchell of Warner Robins; Chantelle Peeples of Warner Robins; Neeley Talbot of Warner Robins; Timothy Taylor of Byron; and Linda Watson of Cochran.
Presenting the students with their pins were Radiologic Technology Program Chair Erin Giddens and Clinical Coordinator Evelyn Grove.
In addition to the pins, two students received special class awards. Anna Collins received the award for Best Clinician, which recognizes the student who demonstrates diligent work ethics, provides competent and compassionate care for clients, and promotes teamwork among peers. The recipient of this award must also demonstrate exemplary performance in the clinical setting and hold high the standards of the Radiologic Technology field.
Mark Craddock, Jr. was recognized for excelling in the academic arena with the Academic Award for the Radiologic Technology graduates. The Academic award is presented to the student who has achieved and maintained the highest academic standards, including the highest grade point average in the graduating class.
The Radiologic Technology program at Middle Georgia Technical College offers both associate degree and diploma options. Students receive classroom and hands-on training in a clinical setting.
