Joy C. Deboe with Bob BeaverJoy C. Deboe, a Cosmetology student, received the $200 Warner Robins Rotary Club Scholarship. The winning student must be a member of the President’s Honor roll and submit a written essay. Bobbi Autry with Bob BeaverBobbi Autry, a Dental Assisting student, received a $500 Thomas P. Hinman Dental Society Scholarship. She has a GPA of 4.0. Vonda D. BelcherVonda D. Belcher, a Business Office Technology student, was the recipient of the Way Brothers Inc. Memorial Scholarship. The $250.00 scholarship was established by Bub and Sam Way to honor their father Sam Sr. and uncle R.G. Way. Each quarter, a deserving Pulaski County student will be selected based on a written essay and recommendation from their instructor to receive this scholarship. Michael Hearn with Bob BeaverMichael Hearn, an Air Conditioning Technology student, won the KLENK Standout Student Award. He has maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout his training.

The following three students were recipients of the MGTC Foundation Scholarship. Students must have a 3.0 GPA, compete through a written essay, submit a letter of recommendation from an instructor and 2 letters of recommendation from the community.

Theresa Watkins with Bob Beaver and Jeff ScruggsTheresa Watkins was chosen as the 2007 College GOAL Winner. Watkins will receive an all-expense paid trip to Atlanta where, for three days, she will compete with students from 38 other technical colleges and divisions in Georgia for the title of State GOAL Winner, the GOAL medallion, and a new automobile as the grand prize.

Two other students were recognized and chosen as finalists for their outstanding achievement, character and leadership:

To be inducted students must have completed at least half of relevant program, have a GPA of 3.8 or above, be recommended for membership by an instructor, and establish and maintain good character: Melissa Barber, Rachael Corazalla, Amber Graham, Michaela Jones, Nancy Lewis, Dorothy McKenzie, John Rossi, Michael Seagraves, Patrice Smith, Daniel Sneed, Billie Sullivan, and Theresa Watkins Practical Nursing StudentsThe following Practical Nursing students were pinned this quarter: Sacoia Anderson, Jessica Brown, Donna Clemons, Ashley Folsom, Lisa Long, Kimberly Taylor, Willie Nobles, Lori Morrey, and Wilda Williams

Kimberly Taylor was recipient of the highest GPA award. She has a GPA of 3.07 and this has worked very hard throughout her program on her professional work ethics as well. Sacoia Anderson was selected as Best Clinician this year based on her professional manner with clinical thinking and performance of skills at an above average expectation for each quarter.
